Sean Ellis has an interesting post about finding the problems worth solving in your startup. This is something I struggled with with past week when evaluating my progress with one of my mentors. We found that I was not identifying the true value I could bring my users and what that meant for them. Instead, I was putting together a number of interesting features hoping someone would see their inherent value.
This is problem doesn't seem uncommon for startups (e.g., see part of the main argument of the Lean Startup movement). "What is the value?" is a difficult question to answer and one I am working to comprehend, at a notional level at least, this weekend.
